  • I wish you have waited just a bit. You were gone from my sight before I could even say "wait".

It is extremely difficult laying myself bare the way I do, not that I did not appreciate the experience, but it takes a lot from me. I don't think you understood how it felt like to realize that I was actually alone as soon as you left.

You could not understand why I was so angry.

I was angry over the circumstances.

I was angry that I cannot do anything about it.

I was angry at the futility of my disappointment.

    I don't think you understand. I don't think it's your fault.

But I still feel hurt all the same. I felt hung out to dry. With no one to blame for it.

A Poem Translated To English, Dubstep, Dance, etc.

I want to write something today but I am just drained. I just decided to post one of my favorite poems that I will translate to English. I just badly need the mental exercise. It isn't a perfect translation, of course. It is translated to the best of my comprehension.

HUWAG KA SANANG MAGAGALIT (I Hope It Doesn't Anger You)
    Ramon Sunico

    Huwag ka sanang magagalit
    kung sasabihin ko
    na hanap-hanap ka
    ng aking mga tula.

I hope it doesn't anger you
    If I will tell you
    That my poems
    Yearn for you.

    Huwag ka sanang maiilang
    kung tuwing umuulan
    isip-isip ko ang init
    ng ating katawan.

I hope you wouldn't shy away
If I constantly think of the warmth
    of our bodies
    Whenever the rain falls.

    Ngayon, butas lamang
sa langit ang lahat ng bituin,
    Ngayon, sukatan lamang ang buwan
    ng layo mo sa akin.

    Now, all the stars
Are but holes in the sky
Now, the moon is but a touchstone
    Of your distance from me.

    Anumang kuwento
    ang simulan ko’y
    sa iyo rin nauuwi.
    Sa bawat aklat
    na aking buklatin
    naroroon ang iyong tingin

    Whatever story
    I begin
    Always leads to you.
    For every book
    I crack open
    There is you.

Alam ko: may sarili kang tanong
na dapat sagutin; may sarili kang misteryo
na dapat harapin. Huwag magmadali: panahon ngayon
    ng liwanag at sari-saring dilim;
Oras ng sugat at lamig at ng
    paurong-sulong na pagpapaumanhin.

I am aware: you have questions
that need to be answered; you have mysteries
that need to be faced. Do not rush: it is a time
    of lucidity and manifold darkness;
A time of scars, and cold,
    And of blundering apologies.

    Ngunit mahal,
    pinakamatalik kong kaibigan,
    huwag ka sanang magagalit
    huwag ka sanang maiilang
    kung aking sasabihin

    But my love,
    My dearest friend,
I hope it doesn't anger you
I hope you wouldn't shy away
    If I will tell you

    na tuwing humihinga ako
    naaamoy kita,
    na tuwing pumipikit ako,
    ikaw ang nagiging umaga

    That each time I breathe,
It is your scent that I breathe in,
That each time I close my eyes,
It is you that becomes the morning.

I started dancing to hiphop two weeks ago. Tomorrow will be the third Saturday that I am taking the hour and a half trip to the studio where I take lessons. I enjoyed every session so far, and I started opening myself to other music outside of rock and classical. It is in this manner that I learned of Dubstep. (from Wikipedia:Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music. Its overall sound has been described as "tightly coiled productions with overwhelming bass lines and reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals) I've been listening to this a lot recently, and in such high volume when I am alone that one of the speakers of my subwoofer bounced of the table because of the heavy bass lines.

Anyway, I started to appreciate moving to a beat as a means to express oneself. Whether happiness, anger, or sandness. Our instructor pointed out that dance IS an exercise, not just for the body, but for the mind and for the heart.

    I couldn't agree more. :)

  • Haters Gonna Hate

I recently got a negative comment in one of my posts. And being a person who gets easily affected by such, I decided to stay away from Xanga for a while. But over the weekends, I gave it a hard thought.

Haters like that cunt who posted in my blog will always be here, and everywhere else.

So why the hell should I leave this blog that I maintained for 4 years?

I can always pull a six gun on the douchebag next time IT comes by to pollute my gig.

I've probably been in this planet and already a degree holder when you're still shitting your nappies, asshole! My blog is my turf, and I will write what I want here you little fucker.

    "nuff said.

  • What About the Morong 43, Mr. President?

    free the 43

It's been months since 43 health workers undergoing community medicine training, now known as the "Morong 43" were arrested last February 6 on dubious charges of rebellion. They were subjected to emotional and physical torture. And now, they are no longer 43, for one of the detainees, Carina "Judilyn" Oliveros, who was 3 months pregnant at the time of her capture, gave birth, and is on hospital arrest for 3 months. And as 3 months pass, Judilyn will suffer yet another heartbreak as she will be parted from her baby when she is sent back to Camp Bagong Diwa.

This has been discussed to death. So many discrepancies on the government's end to prove that it was all a mistake. We all understand that it's painful to say "Sorry, we made a mistake," but until when do you intend to drag this on?

These are people who strive to make health care accessible where you all failed to deliver.
